Joanna Musil, born 1984 in Warsaw, Poland. Graduate of the Faculty of Interior Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw with a diploma in Exhibition Design and a Visual School of Arts degree in Set Design.
While gaining experience at established interior design studios in Warsaw, Joanna found a true calling for set design. For the past 10 years she has been working as set designer & stylist for numerous commercial and editorial clients across photography & film projects.
With expertise spanning set design, prop styling, and art direction, she is known for translating her deep respect for tradition in art, architecture, and craft into distinctive, contemporary visual environments. Her work lives in the details: still life arrangements, the dialogue between materials, and the way texture and colour choices carry an atmosphere all their own.
She finds inspiration in painting, nature, and observing people, as well as the everyday, seemingly mundane, treating the ordinary with the same care she brings to the historical and the ornate.
