A costume designer and image stylist based in Warsaw. Mikaela was born in Stockholm in a half Swedish and half Polish family. She moved to London in the late 90’s where she studied Fashion Styling and Photography at the London College of Fashion. Mikaela always had an interest in fashion. She started out as a band photographer, then she was helping out designers with their collections and shows styling. The London club scene had been for her very much inspiring and connecting with fashion. The clubs like: Slimelight, Heaven or Boombox, the legendary place, were full of fashion people, designers, stylists, models etc.
Mikaela’s biggest inspiration is a mix of the 90’s and old Hollywood, mixed with a bit of goth. She likes to combine fun with elegant. Always a reference to London club night in the past.
Mikaela has her own fashion brand 1683 Atelier and owns an impressive collection of vintage pieces: Vivienne Westwood, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Moschino, Martin Margiela, Alexander McQueen, Claude Montana, Issey Miyake, Lacroix, Chanel, Versace, Kenzo, Escada and a big section of folklore clothes from all over the world. History is an important slogan for Mikaela, who is fascinated by the past – her brand name comes from the date of the Battle of Vienna.
